![]() Fractal is essentially unpredictable generation but it generates quite believable landmasses and mountain ranges and rivers. ![]() ![]() When it comes to AI I tend to go fractal standard. Main benefit is that you'll get to play a whole game in a few hours with a limited (read: non-annoying) number of cities. But if you play against others who know the map it can get rather interesting. Problem is it's always the exact same map so if you know how to exploit it better than your opponents then you'll just steamroll over them. I've really come to enjoy the 4-Leaf Clover map for quick 2vs2 multiplayer matches (a good one takes like 4 hours).
